#ISA2024 Today We Learn

I attended sessions every day at the ISA’s Annual International Conference.

I have pages of notes and dozens of photos from presentation slides and key people.

I made a list of objectives, collected business cards and trade show handouts, and soaked in the wisdom shared by presenters, new contacts, and the conference organizers.

… my heroes

… my mentors

… my collaborators

MY TREE TRIBE

Together, we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the ISA. It started as “The Shade Tree Conference” long before there were chainsaws or trucks to haul their gear to a job site! This 100-year history is a mosaic of grit, ingenuity, and tree care stories defining its character and substance. The first conference was led by Francis A. Bartlett and W.E. Britton, hosting 36 participants across 7 states and D.C. Today, the International Society of Arboriculture has grown to more than 26,000 members in 70 countries. While many things have changed, understanding plant life's physiology, as informed by scientific research and collaboration, remains constant. Generations later, we applaud the tree care companies founded by early pioneers like Bartlett Tree Experts and Davey Tree Experts, which continue to lead our industry into a hopeful future.

CHEERS to the next 100 years!!

... a few moments of learning and celebration ...
